Compact Flash (CF) for the Fusion

Postby parametric » Tue Jan 26, 2016 9:10 am

These are the largest the Fusion will accept.

They are also currently offering 2Gb and 8Gb

These smaller sizes are getting harder to find . . .

Morgans will ship to UK and EU, but not sure about the US

As of the date of this post . . . .

Morgans still have the 4GB CF cards (the largest the Fusion can handle)

Just a thought:-
If somebody is not able to get hold of a 4GB card, could a larger one be partitioned to make it 4GB?

The reason I mention it is because I was making a bootable USB memory stick, but it needed to be 2GB.
I didn't have any that small, so I partitioned an 8GB to give a 2GB and this worked OK.

Do you think the same applies to Compact Flash and the Fusion?

If so, it could help someone that can't get hold of a 4GB Compact Flash.

Hmm . . . .

I've not tried.

Let us know if it works. I don't see why it shouldn't so long as the FINAL format of the 4Gb is done by the Fusion . . .

Actually, there's no need for me to try it - I bought a 1GB CF several years ago now for Fusion use, but I was thinking about people that couldn't get hold of one under 4GB.
